FontExpert uses well known and reliable ASProtect built-in protection (www.aspack.com) and anti-virus software may incorrectly detect protection code as a "troyan virus".
Known Issue, a problem of NOD32 antivirus:

If you use advanced "Heuristics" and "Advanced Heuristics" options, NOD32 antivirus may incorrectly suspect a virus in FontExpertReg registration utility included in FontExpert distribution files: "FontExpertReg.exe - probably a variant of Win32/Tsipe troyan". See this incorrect report created for earlier version 7.0 of FontExpert.

Usually upgrading antivirus data file or upgrading to the latest version of antivirus eliminates this problem.
