Missing Fonts Loader plug-in for Adobe Illustrator - Tutorial
Preliminary Step
Install FontExpert and place your frequently used fonts to font folders within Groups. In this tutorial we will run Adobe Illustrator and open a document with a few missing Minion fonts. Make sure these fonts are visible within FontExpert groups in any folder. Notice, the Minion fonts are inactive (uninstalled).
Open a document in Adobe Illustrator
We open a document that used Minion fonts. Adobe Illustrator displays the "Font Problems" window and informs us that Minion fonts are missing. Press Open button.
Open Missing Fonts Loader plug-in
The plug-in displays the list of missing fonts. Missing fonts in Adobe Illustrator are identified by PostScript font name. Press "Find" button in plug-in window. The plug-in requests FontExpert to find available fonts.
Plug-in displays the list of available fonts for activation
If there are corresponding fonts (Minion) in FontExpert Groups, the font names appear in the list of available fonts. Press "Activate All" button.
Missing fonts were activated
The plug-in activates missing fonts. Please wait a few seconds until Adobe Illustrator refreshes the document view. Plug-in refreshes the list of missing fonts and informs us that now there are no missing fonts in opened documents.

You can reduce Missing Fonts Loader plug-in window to an icon and attach it to any desired toolbar within Adobe Illustrator window.
