Creating Library and Groups ?

Hi... just trying out FontExpert... and I seem to be a bit lost...

I have several thousand fonts from a wide selection of foundries (from large such as Adobe... to independent such as Dalton Maag, etc.). In the past with other font managers, I have created individual "libraries" for each type of foundry... and essentially, they are organized on the hard drive in relevant folders (see attached graphic):
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/3131460/Font%20Libraries.png

Then, from these "libraries", I create "sets" or "groups" (such as book/report production, magazine design, graphic design, etc.).

I have struggle for a couple of hours with FontExpert, and I cannot see how to accomplish this... all fonts seem to pile into a single "library"... and do I then go individual font by individual font to put them into "groups"? If I create a new empty group, and try to add fonts to this new group, the dialogue box does not allow for adding multiple folders... only individual fonts... this would mean that I would have to individually sort through several thousand directories? Certainly, this is not right...

I've read the extremely sparse FontExpert manuals, and I'm sorry, but I simply do not understand how to create simple libraries and groups. Can someone help? Thanks...

FontExpert groups are regular folders on a hard disk (located within one root folder). If you already have a library organized as a set of nested folders (like on the picture) you can select the root folder of your existing library and tell FontExpert that this root folder will be the new folder of font groups. (Tools/Options/Groups/"Font Groups root folder").

If you have your library on a read-only DVD disk, copy it to any folder on a local hard disk. And then again assign new root folder to Font Groups.

Let me know if it does not help, please.
