automatic fontgroup generation from file folder [impl 7.0]

sorry for flooding ;o) but now that i'm really into fontexpert, more ideas keep coming to mind: most colleagues i know keep their fonts more or less neatly organized in directories for every font (or font family). these then contain all available weights and styles (bolds, blacks, italics, etc).

since we've invested so much time in carefully  labelling these dirs so that we don't mix up fonts (for instance linotype, adobe or itc editions of a classic font), it would be splendid if we had the option of automatically installing new font groups by drag-and-dropping these complete file dirs from the file list to the group list (see my earlier request) and automatically naming/labeling them after the drag-and-dropped directory!

 in short: (1) choose aptly named font (sub-)dir  (2) d'n'd it into the group list where  (3) a new group with the same name as the file dir is automatically generated and  (4) optionally ("do you want to...?") automatically installed/activated!! 8) how cool would that be!

cheers, GL

In current version 6.0 it is already possible to do 1), 2) and 3) as one action. Try to pick a folder (with nested folders) in the Files view, drag it over the Groups tab label, and _holding the CTRL key_, drop this folder on the FontGroups (the root item). After that the whole folder with child subfolders will be copied from the Files view to the Groups tree. Then you can select it and choose Install command (=4).
When you hold CTRL key, it tells FontExpert to COPY files being dragged. When you hold ALT, it tells to CREATE SHORTCUTS. (With no keyboard key modifier, as it is usual in Windows, the default drag-n-drop action is MOVE.)
But the Add to Group... context menu command is disabled when the selection in Files view is a folder. It seems we should enable this command for this case, thank you for suggestion.
