Smoothing screen fonts

Running a Win2000 system. Have gone to control panel: Display, Effects, Use Smooth screen fonts (etc). But the font lists I am looking at are decidedly jagged. How can I get better results?

As we found out, the Smooth Screen Fonts feature built in Windows depends on selected font and font size. Usually it turns on font smoothing when you enlarge font size. It appears the best way is to support font output with anti-aliasing in FontExpert, as many users have requested...
