FE fails to preview .PFM files with long path-names [fixed]
Posted: Sat Jun 11, 2005 4:34 am
Applied to: FontExpert 2004 version 6.0 (all releases) and all earlier versions.
Description: FontExpert fails to preview PostScript files (.pfm/.pfb) located in a folder having too long name. FontExpert reports that .PFM file is not loaded and may be damaged.
Workaround: The length of the path including file name (for example: "c:\My Fonts\My PostScript Fonts\.......\.......\My Font\myfont.pfm") must not exceed 128 symbols.
Comments: This problem is applied only to PostScript fonts and only to preview feature. (FontExpert can activate and display PostScript fonts in a folder having long name.)
This problem is fixed in version 7.0.
